Thank you for all of your donations for our Superhero Basket! All baskets will be on display next week until Family Fun Night. Bidding sheets will be in front of each basket if you are interested in bidding. The money that is made from the basket auction goes toward technology programs we use here at Arrowhead for all grade levels.

There will be a variety food trucks in the front of the school. The silent auction will be held in the gym with all the baskets on display until 6pm then the winner can come to the office to collect their basket.
Pumpkin Extravaganza-
Thank you for bringing in pumpkins! We will use these pumpkins for our investigation on Halloween day and they will be sent home with your child that day. If you would like to help out for the event, please email me and we will add you to our fun!
Wonders/GoMath-
This week in Wonders we are using asking and answering questions for a comprehension strategy and identifying key details in our text. Our spelling words focus on r- and s- blends.
In GoMath, we are continuing to learn addition strategies and will be working on adding doubles plus 1 and doubles minus 1. (4+5 can be solved using doubles plus one 4+4+1 OR doubles minus 5+5-1) and adding more than 10. These skills can be very challenging for students so if you can at home, ask them in the next few weeks what strategies they are learning in math and give them a simple problem like 6+ 5 and ask them to show you different strategies they use to solve. Also, please practice math facts at home using Xtramath or flashcards to help them become more fluent in facts to 10.
